To new faces - HEY THERE! **hugs** Thank you so much for stopping by my artist table!
To familiar faces - ....HEY THERE! **hugs** I haven't been around much recently XD

The biggest reason for that will no longer be a thing in the near future - in three weeks, I will have (FINALLY) graduated college with an AFA in music composition. So what will I do? Continue to draw and write, that's what! So I will be more productive here and hopefully on the terribly neglected Purple Tree Studios website. Which will be getting a MASSIVE OVERHAUL when I have the free time to do so.

Also in big news - between finishing college and prepping for ACEN and everything, Craig and I have been moving between two locations - the first being my parents' house after our apartment lease expired. And a week after I graduate, the two of us will be moving to Michigan, near our lovely art friends and

so yes. There will be MANY LOTS OF ART happening in the future. We're all going to be freaking art MACHINES.

This freedom from the chains of academia also means that we will be more mobile, able to travel more often to other conventions around the midwest (country..?), spreading the insanity of Purple Tree Studios farther than Rosemont, IL. This hasn't even sunk in yet, but if this weekend was any indication, it will be the start of something beautiful that I can't even comprehend right now.

Because every single one of you who took the time to stop by this DA after pausing for lovely conversation at the table? Made ACEN worth it. I met so many wonderful people, saw many familiar faces from last year, and regrouped with friends I haven't seen in years. Words can't describe how much that means to me, so I hope this note will suffice. THANK YOU. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. I'm so blessed to have met every single one of you, and I hope we cross paths in the future

And if the qualitative data isn't enough, let me use some quantitative data to emphasize HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU ALL.
~ Started with 10 books. Left with 2. TWO. SDLGHSDF
~ Took 20 commissions.
~ Purchased 4 commissions. Craig also received 2 commissions from Ryan.
~ Started with 5 Wicked prints. Sold out by Saturday morning. (I now know what I need to draw more of.. :3)
~ Sold 200% more jewelry than last year.

Also. Martin/Megan stopped by on multiple occasions, giving me a Space Core plushie one of those times You two are such wonderful people and I hope you both know that.
and a RANDOM STRANGER stopped by to give me a Navi shirt (he heard I was a fan). Like, he was literally going to walk away if I didn't stop him and give him money for that 'cause I couldn't accept that in good conscience. SERIOUSLY.

To draw this to a close. I was, and still am, absolutely floored by everyone's kindness this weekend. I could say thank you until I'm blue in the face.

But I think I'll pass on the kindness in the form of art, supporting the people who create it, and stepping up my game for the people who enjoy it.
