COMMISSION INFORMATION by shadowednavi COMMISSION INFORMATION by shadowednavi
Updated for 2014!

.~* NOTEWORTHY CHANGES *~.
:bulletblack: I am no longer taking point commissions. I started taking them under the impression that I would be able to convert DA points into actual currency, but upon finding out that's not the case, I've had to close them. It was a fun experiment, and I made a few good friends through it, and that's more valuable than anything else! :D

:bulletblack: Although it's not listed, I am open for background commissions as well - check out my webcomic to see the range of what I can do! Price ranges from $50-100 depending on complexity and size.

And with that... I think that's it! :D Send me either a note here on DA or an email to commissions@purple-tree-studios.com ^_^

I feel as if your points are off~ Like $5 would be 500 :points: Not including what DA takes off. I just dont want you to get scammed. z7-z7

Hey there, no worries :D It's good that you're taking a look and double-checking, because you're right - there are a lot of people who DON'T realize what points are worth compared to standard currency. And I should probably also amend my information to say as much, hahaha :)

Just thought I'd post letting you know, in case you don't, that your point prices don't match your USD prices. It's 80 points to $1. For example, for a full body digital painting ($40), if someone were to pay you in points, you'd be getting $18.75. If you want it that way then that's okay, but I figured I'd mention it anyway.

Hey there, thanks for pointing that out! I do know that my point prices are significantly lower than my paypal commissions, and I did that intentionally to make my commissions affordable to everyone.

I've noticed the vast majority of people on DA who utilize the point system are people who don't have Paypal accounts, and usually because they are too young to acquire one. And despite popular belief, DA points cannot be transferred back into ACTUAL currency. As a result, I decided to forego the "official" conversion and go with something that I feel is appropriate for DA currency and what I use it for.

This also means that I don't open point commissions when I really need ACTUAL money, but when I do have them open, they're open for artists of all ages and budgets. Does this mean that people who have both points AND money can choose to point commission instead? Sure, but I'm not out to judge them on their reasoning. :)

Just making sure xD From what I know of, it can, as long as you use the commission widget feature. I've never personally used it though but I know people have. But regardless, that makes sense.

Sure thing! :D I'm only taking Paypal commissions right now due to my financial situation, but if that's all right with you, feel free to send me a note ^_^
