Artist's Comments

This is actually an untitled piece, but I don't feel like just leaving the title subject blank. I don't think I can do that anyway, even if I wanted to.

There are so many things wrong with this, I don't want to even begin. But I was stressed yesterday. I had a headache and cramps and moodswings, was pissed off even though it was the start of Spring Break.... One of those days. Had a mental image and had to sit down and draw it. And for once, this is pretty much exactly how my mental image looked. Minus her hat. But the hair ticked me off and I didn't want to risk smudging and erasing it.

So yeah. Tricia draws more fanart and Elphaba is sick of reading from the Grimmerie.

I'ma go now, headache's returning.

EDIT: Oh, I forgot to mention. I thought this would go without saying, but it's bothering me after looking at it again. It looks SO MUCH BETTER OFFLINE THAN ON. Carry on. ^^

====================

EDIT2: Holy mother of pearl o_o If I had any idea this picture would be this popular, I'd probably have put more effort into it. Thank you all so much!

That is amazing! Especially the shading!

I hope you feel better soon!

Doesn't it suck how scanning something can totally ruin it? *growls at scanners*

Anyway, it looks fine from here though, so that means it'll be GREAT in real life. :D I like the tiny bit of color; it creates an interesting focal point. Nice job!

HARRY: OMG Snape and Karkaroff in the closet together? This is worse than Hagrid and Madame Maxime.
SNAPE: Come into the closet, little boy.
HARRY: When does the scar tissue over my memories form? When?

Well, for what it's worth, I like it. Her dress looks good, I like how her face is in shadow, and the raggedness of her hair just sets off the whole feeling of frustration.

Reflection of BM's Evil: I feel a complete contempt for everything and an overriding need to burn the world. Is that normal?
Black Mage:Are you filled with regret that, eventually, there will be no more world to burn?

Can I come up to look at the real thing? It looks AMAZING to me ^_^

You say you don't really care for the way it turned out, but you really got the feeling of the piece across. The tousled hair just adds to the frustration of the character. And nice minimalistic effect with the tiny bit of green showing. Nice job.

I like this, it reminds me of the part were Liir has drowned and she's franitically looking in the Grimmerie for a way to bring him back. ^^

When I was walking up the stairs,
I met a man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today,
I wish I wish he'd go away.

Yeah, I'm a fan of the whole "graphite+one color" deal...

Unfortunately, I have yet to read/see "Wicked". However, that has nothing to do with the quality of the drawing, so "f" that.

Anyways, I like the drawing. Detail=awesomenes...value=awesomes...good figure=awesomeness...awesome=awesomeness, get my drift? Yeah...my critiques are shitty, I know.

Honestly, what I'm about to say has already been said by others, but who cares, right?

Yeah, I'm a real fan of inspired illustrations like this one, and using just a dash of color really adds character to the feeling of the piece. Her face being hidden in shadow seems to add to the forlorn motif of the image as a whole, excellent combonation with the posture.

The detail is incredible, and I love the way you have implied motion with the falling sheets form the Grimmerie. Given the fact that I can still see the mark on my arm from where you bit me, I would have to say that I feel your pain... simply not in the form of frustration or headaches.

This seems kinda mean, but if this is the quality of work produced while stressed and in pain, BRING ON THE FRUSTRATION!!!!

Ok, can I say this? AWESOME PAPER FLY-AGE. O_o I mean, wtf, why can't my inatimate objects look so alive?

Secondly, great body language. :D
